MOUNTAINEERING, ROCK CLIMBING, ABSEILING

When asked why he wanted to climb Everest, The English mountaineer, George Herbert Leigh Mallory famously replied ‘because it’s there.’ From the moment a baby is big enough to pull itself up on wobbly legs, it wants to climb – the stairs, on to chairs, tables, beds…anywhere it can lift itself off the ground.
